About Vinpanda
We built the vehicle history check we wished existed when buying a used car.
Why we built this
Buying a used car in the US is one of the largest financial decisions most people make — and one of the most opaque. The two dominant history report providers have dominated the market for decades, charging high prices while offering confusing interfaces and subscription models designed to extract recurring revenue rather than genuinely help buyers.
Vinpanda exists to fix that. One price. One report. No account. No subscription. Just the information you need to make a confident decision.
What we do
Vinpanda pulls vehicle history data from an official NMVTIS-certified data provider. That means the same title, lien, accident, odometer, and ownership data used by dealers, insurers, and lenders — available directly to private buyers for $14.99.
The preview is always free. You can see vehicle specs, recall counts, auction record counts, and a vehicle photo before spending a cent.
What NMVTIS means
NMVTIS — the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System — is a federal database maintained under the Anti-Car Theft Act. Federal law requires insurance companies, salvage yards, and junk yards to report to NMVTIS. Most state DMVs also report title and registration data.
By using a certified NMVTIS provider, Vinpanda reports include data that simpler tools miss — particularly cross-state title brands, which is how a car that was totaled in Texas can appear to have a clean title when re-registered in another state.
Our principles
- ✓Honest pricing — $14.99 per report. No subscription, no upsells, no dark patterns. The price is the price.
- ✓Plain English results — No jargon. Every finding is explained clearly so you know what it means for your purchase decision.
- ✓Free before you pay — The preview shows real data — vehicle photo, specs, recall counts, auction records — before you commit.
- ✓No unnecessary data collection — We only collect what's needed to provide the service. We don't sell your data.
