Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Vinpanda is operated by Rocketlabs Software LLC ("we", "us", "our"). We provide vehicle history reports for US vehicles at vinpanda.com. Questions about this policy can be directed to support@vinpanda.com.

2. What information we collect

We collect only the minimum information needed to provide the service:

• VINs you search — the 17-character Vehicle Identification Numbers you enter to look up vehicle history.
• Email address — if you provide one during checkout, we use it to email your report. We do not add you to any mailing list.
• Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, CVV, or full payment details.
• Basic usage data — standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This is used for security and reliability monitoring only.

3. How we use your information

• To look up and deliver your vehicle history report
• To email your report PDF (if you provided an email)
• To process your payment via Stripe
• To monitor service health and prevent abuse
• To comply with applicable laws

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not build profiles on users.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Vinpanda:

• ClearVin — our vehicle history data provider. VINs you search are sent to ClearVin to generate your report. ClearVin is an NMVTIS-certified provider. See ClearVin's privacy policy.
• Stripe — payment processing. When you purchase a report, you interact directly with Stripe's secure payment form. We receive a payment confirmation but never your card details. See Stripe's privacy policy.
• Resend — transactional email delivery (report PDFs). Your email address is passed to Resend solely to deliver your report. It is not used for any other purpose.

5. Cookies and local storage

Vinpanda uses browser localStorage (not cookies) to remember if you've purchased a report for a specific VIN, so you can return to it in the same browser without re-entering payment details. No tracking cookies are used.

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party tracking pixels.

6. Data retention

We retain server logs for up to 30 days for security purposes. Email addresses used for report delivery are not retained beyond the delivery transaction. We do not maintain a user account database.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us at support@vinpanda.com.

Because we don't require accounts, the only personal information we may hold is an email address used for report delivery. VINs are not personal data.

8. Children's privacy

Vinpanda is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
